There is no need for a plug-in or a ArcGIS CityEngine license to view 3D scenes in browsers that support WebGL.
The CityEngine Web Viewer uses HTML5 and WebGL technology to draw 3D content in a web browser. Connect CityEngine to ArcGIS Online to bring in 3D terrain data and basemaps and to publish your 3D scenes in the cloud. Exports ArcScene documents (.sxd) to ArcGIS CityEngine Web Scene (.3ws) format to display them in the CityEngine Web Viewer. After street network creation, the network can be analyzed by computing global integration, local integration and in-between centrality. CityEngine fully supports the Esri file geodatabase (including textured multipatches) and Esri shapefile format.
Improved Street Sketching and Network Analysis-Sketching of streets has been significantly improved with the new editing tools. Perspective Facade Image Cropping-Intuitive and effective tool for the preparation of facade textures from ground based facade images perspective correction and region selection are done in one step. Intuitive editing of 3D multipatch models-new, easy-to-use editing tools for the quick sketching and texturing of 3D models (e.g., multipatch).
